Jennifer Lanz was raised in South Florida and has over 24 years in the fitness industry including sports nutrition. She has professed to many clients to empower and change their lives for the better. At a young age she discovered her competitive edge and her willingness to compete and win! Her personal accomplishments started at a young age competing in sports during her high school years. As a young adult she quickly developed into a competitive athlete in figure competitions.
While she aggressively climbed the ranks of figure competition she became well known in the Denver Colorado area and was featured on the cover of Colorado’s Muscle Builder magazine as “Colorado’s new up and coming trainer.” Coach Jennifer continued to work hard and would end up competing for 11 years winning numerous awards on a regional and nationwide level as a figure competitor. Because she understood the dedication and determination of her clients, she was able to change many of her client’s lives for the better. Some of her clients lost up to 65+lbs. under her training and diet regiments.
Since Jennifer quickly understood the importance of nutrition, she gained knowledge of the nutrition industry and even today continues to learn more. Coach Jen understands the importance and the critical role that nutrition plays in her personal life along with her clients and customers. Coach Jen's is truly dedicated to helping people live healthier and happier lives. Her testament to coaching are several certifications she has obtained over the years such as: NASM – Certified Personal Trainer, NASM – Corrective Exercise - NASM Sports Nutrition. TFW instructor level 1 & 2 certification.
Rocky Lanz was raised in South Florida and has over 25 years of coaching and playing experience as a player, coach, and world-class athlete. He attended high school at Riverside Military Academy where he was a football All-American in 1990 and in 2009 was inducted into the Hall of Fame. He attended and played college football and baseball at the University of Georgia, Valdosta State, and St. Leo University where he earned his undergraduate degree. He went on to play for numerous pro football teams and attended many pro camps including working out for the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts signing with the CFL’s Ottawa Renegades, BC Lions, & Arena football teams: Carolina Rhinos, Greenville Force, Augusta Stallions, as well as the AAFL Team Michigan.
Coach Lanz also was a push athlete for the USA Bobsled Team from 2002-2009. His top ranking was 6th in the world. During this time he won numerous medals including taking the bronze at the Olympic Trials going into the 2006 Olympic Games in Torino, Italy. He was part of Team Elite for PowerBar from 2000-2014. His coaching experience includes coaching for the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers under Tony Dungy as a strength coach assistant. From 2005-2009 he helped coach the University of Texas Longhorns Speed and Power Strength Camps. Coach Rocky always helps and gives back to the community as he’s directed and coached a speed camp for Team Powerbar for high school football players.
Coach Rocky was also named to TEAM USA in powerlifting. He set many national records as a junior, including a 675lbs deadlift and 630lbs squat in the 198lbs class. He was also a national ranked Olympic weightlifter who has snatched over 150kilos and cleaned over 190kilos. In 2010 he was ranked number one in the nation for the deadlift in the Raw 198lbs class lifting 630lbs for the WNPF federation. He has a passion for coaching as he was the Owner/CEO/National Combine Director of Free Agent Combines/FootballCombine Challenge & High School Football Combine Challenge. He also has a TFW instructor level 1 & 2 certification. Coach Lanz believes in adding value to what you coach, so you can help change the lives of others.
John has a great background in sports medicine and exercise physiology. John offers a unique and comprehensive approach to safe and effective strength training and conditioning. John graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelorís Degree in Athletic Training and a Bachelorís Degree in Exercise Physiology. During his time at Marshall, John spent many observation hours under the current and highly esteemed University of Georgia strength coach, Scott Sinclair.
John is a licensed Athletic Trainer and certified strength and conditioning specialist who is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine. John spent the beginning of his career in southern Ohio where he was the Athletic Trainer for the Huntington Prep Basketball Academy where he worked with several current NBA and D1 collegiate basketball players. Additionally, John managed a performance academy at a local physical therapy clinic in southern Ohio where he trained several collegiate football, track, basketball, soccer and tennis athletes.
After moving back to Florida 2 years ago, John has since been the Head Athletic Trainer at the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind while also providing community outreach service to local sporting events. When he is not studying or coaching John enjoys spending time outside kayaking, fishing, and playing sports. “Attack the day” is a notion that John has adopted which is what drives him to get the most out of his day while invigorating TFW Beachwalk members and athletes to do the same.
